Proceeds from all projects go towards donations to regional crisis centers and associated organizations as listed. If you are a working artist and have a project you would like to propose, please email us with a full description of your project, your cv & website information, and which charitable organization you seek to represent.

Depressed Cake Shop

The Depressed Cake Shop seeks to raise funds for mental health resources and awareness about mental health through the sale of baked goods! This is a grassroots effort started by Art Against Assault in conjunction with The Hive Gallery and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Over 20 bakers local to Los Angeles will contribute a variety of greyish baked goods with splashes of rainbow to inspire hope. This is just one of many Depressed Cake Shops that have sprung up all over the globe since 2013 raising over 7 million for mental health resources!

JARRING III: Artists’ Books to Break the Silence

JARRING III is a set of letterpress and handmade set of 3 books in an edition of 50 that share the anonymously submitted narratives of 22 survivors of sexual assault to raise funds for crisis centers.

Woman for Sale is a collaboration between Mirabelle Jones and Daisuke Okamoto. It is a series of photographic prints, posters, and an artists’ book which seek to raise funds for shelters in California supporting victims of sex trafficking. I AM NOT A CAT: Public Anti-Street Harassment Campaign


I Am Not A Cat combines the interactive properties of performance & print to engage with the public on the topic of street harassment. Using public feedback, an anti-street harassment poster campaign, as well as a set of anti-catcalling cards were developed and distributed with the hope of increasing safety on the streets. January 29, 2014 – Brooklyn Wildlife presents 12 days of art Join Brooklyn Wildlife at the Bishop Gallery for a night of discussion, live music and the closing of the BROOKLYN: THEN AND NOW art exhibition that has been running all January. The discussions will focus on the following themes: Where and who are the contemporary female artists? Why is there still an under-representation of the female voice in fine art, media and corporate sponsored art and what are the social consequences of this absence? After the discussion, there will be a live jam session with a bunch of artists from Brooklyn. Live performances from Chaz Van Queen, K Gaines, Que Pac, Ridhima H Hegde, Stonehenge Parnhashnakovsky
